A new inductee, Deion Sanders will be welcomed into the Pro Football Hall of Fame next month with agent Eugene Parker to present him at the ceremony.

‘I had a front-row seat over the years to see one of the greatest athletes in history perform,” Parker said. “Now, I am honored to present Deion for his enshrinement in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.”

Parker also represents Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant along with many others and will be the second agent to present a player next to Rocky Arceneaux who will introduce Marshall Faulk.

Following the remarks in a video tribute from the presenters to the players is the joint unveiling of the bronze bust.

Shannon Sharpe, Richard Dent, Chris Hanburger, Ed Sabol and Les Richter are among the others who will be inducted in this year’s class with Richter being enshrined posthumously.

Sharpe’s brother, the former Green Bay Packers receiver will present him at the ceremony. Dent chose his former defensive coordinator Joe Gilliam from Tennessee State to present him.  The former Washington Redskins linebacker Hanburger will be presented by his son Chris. The president of NFL films Steve Sabol will present his father, Ed and Jn Richter will present his late father, Les.

It is not unusual for agents to present former clients at their induction. Mike Haynes had been introduced by his agent Howard Slusher in 1997 and Warren Moon had Leigh Steinberg do the same for him in 2006.

Owner of the Cowboys Jerry Jones presented running back Emmit Smith last year at his induction in addition to Michael Irvin in 2007.

The 2011 Enshrinement ceremony will be televised nationally by ESPN and NFL network at the Fawcett Stadium on Saturday, Aug. 6 in Canton, Ohio.
