Earlier on Thursday the NY Mets gave out a detailed Carlos Beltran framework that will probably have this All-Star player ready come open day. Carlos did not get a chance to play outfield during spring’s major league due to a knee tendinitis injury. However, as an initial process towards full recovery he played a good game on this day. He hit and ran bases at maximum speed, and also fielded the baseball in the correct field.
He will do the same Friday before competing in a minor league game Saturday. The team will then re-evaluate the plan. Carlos who is 33yrs focused on minor league plays the last two days but placed more emphasis on hitting that running. The famous outfielder was put out of play for a few weeks before coming back full swing on March 17. Nevertheless, Sandy Alderson(GM) was quick to point out that Beltran would not be hurriedly booked for the major league but ongoing evaluation to assess his capabilities would have to be done first. If Carlos signs for minor leagues he would realign his resources over the disabled list over a 10 day spring practice. In addition, Sandy commented that the main goal for Beltran is to be prepared for the open game against Marlins coming in 1st April.
